Valentine’s Day is quickly approaching and everyone that has someone special in their life is making plans to make that day an unforgettable experience. Now, with the economy the way that it is we’ve all had to make some sacrifices and cut back on a few luxuries. Let’s face it chocolate candy, flowers, stuffed animals, dinner out and lovely jewelry are all quite nice, but they lack that personal touch of love and they can be fairly expensive. So what do we do when our money is a little tight, but we still want to enjoy a fabulous night? Simple, we get very creative and a little naughty. Here is a way that you can add your personal signature on a night your love won’t soon forget.
Most of us would agree that our honey works hard for the money and often they come home tired, sore and quite frankly not in the mood. So let’s capitalize on that and offer them a personal home spa treatment.
Soft music, aroma therapy candles and fresh flower petals can set the atmosphere. Select the right music, the right aroma scent and the right lighting to get things started and heighten their senses. A sensual sponge bath to help them unwind and relax is a must. Don’t forget to add some flower petals and soothing bath salts to the water. You can follow their bath with an invigorating, romantic massage with scented oils to drive them wild.
If you’re not sure how to give a massage search the web for instructions. You may also want to check YouTube for an instructional video. It’s not really that hard to pick up and you only need to learn a few different massage techniques and sensual tricks.
Remember Valentine’s Day is all about pampering and catering to your love. Nobody knows them like you so let your imagination be your guide to give your Valentine’s Day spa treatment a personal flair. Speaking of personal touches, here is a recipe to make your own soap for the sponge bath.
Apple Cinnamon Soap
You will Need
4ounces of clear, unscented glycerin soap
1 tablespoon of liquid soap
1 teaspoon of liquid glycerin
1/2 teaspoon of apple fragrance oil
2 drops of red food color
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Valentine’s Day wrapping paper and red ribbon
- Melt the soap in small pan over low heat or in a glass bowl in the microwave.
- Add liquid soap and glycerin and gently stir well.
- Add apple fragrance, food color and cinnamon.
- Stir mixture and let stand a couple minutes to thicken.
- Pour into soap molds.
- Allow to solidify completely (in or out of freezer).
- Remove from molds after soap is solid, or hard.
- Wrap each piece of soap in Valentine gift wrap paper and tie with a red ribbon.
- You can also use red cellophane wrap.
- Place on decorative tray to display.
If possible, make your soap a few days in advance, just in case your results are less than desired. Carefully plan out your spa night to the letter and caringly execute your plan. Have a wonderful night and a happy Valentine’s Day.
